In the world of classic cars, there are names that resonate strongly and leave an indelible mark on the automotive industry. One such name is Carrozzeria Marazzi, an Italian coachbuilder that set a milestone in the design and construction of classic cars.

Founded in 1967 by visionary Mario Marazzi and a team of employees from the bankrupt Carrozzeria Touring company in Milan, Carrozzeria Marazzi quickly became synonymous with quality, craftsmanship and creativity in the classic car world. Located in Caronna Pertusella, just outside Milan, the company became a beacon of innovation and bold design.

Mario Marazzi, a master of his craft, impressed the automotive world with his ability to materialise his ideas into elegant and timeless forms. His contributions to the industry are true gems on wheels. First, he completed the Lamborghini 400 GT 2+2 series, a masterpiece that earned a prominent place in Lamborghini history. But Carrozzeria Marazzi did not limit itself to Lamborghini. The company left its mark on other iconic automakers, such as Alfa Romeo and Fiat. The Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, a true milestone in the history of supercars, was another notable achievement by Marazzi. This car impressed not only for its sculptural beauty, but also for its exceptional performance that catapulted it to legendary status.

In addition, Carrozzeria Marazzi demonstrated its versatility with the construction of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Nuvo Promiscua and the prototypes of the Alfa Romeo 90 Station Wagon and the Fiat Punto Cabrio Wagon Bricò. Even in less conventional terrain, Carrozzeria Marazzi excelled. Its experience in building Mercedes-Benz-based hearses in the 1990s left a lasting mark on the automotive industry. These creations, though unusual, remained true to Marazzi’s vision of combining design and functionality in an impeccable manner.

From the prototype Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione Spider to the armoured Land Rover Discovery 3 for the police, each Marazzi masterpiece became a testament to the bold spirit and master craftsmanship that defined the company.
